Lesson 34: of why there's a two year gap in my ARMY activities

ARMY are intelligent.

I thought Directioners were the kind of fandom to both fear and admire, but ARMY have proven to be worth more than them.

Happy New Year, and welcome to Being Girly. If you are new here, you'll probably be surprised about how my posts keep going beyond the subject of each blog. That i cannot explain, so I'll have to tell you that this post in particular is a follow-up on my ARMY update in the previous post. That is why this post is here.

I know, you probably think i'm having another case of insomnia. True, but with good reason. See, I watched some videos on Youtube which left me in surprise. I even cried. I know... it isn't that time of the month. Why should I cry? There are no painful cramps to cry about. Right...?

Well, this post is about Bangtan and their 'Wings' short films whose story line goes back, way back to 'Danger.' I watched the short films and then a video on how Jin is Abraxas popped up and i started watching it. Yes, my very intelligent boyfriend mentions Abraxas in the short film as he gives the story line of the whole 'Wings' concept through out each video.

So, my mind was completely blown. See, recently Big Hit (the label BTS is signed to) released a comic book called 'Save Me' which seems to be drawing inspiration from 'Wings.' Then again, someone or some people from ARMY have already realized this. The only difference is that Jin is not Abraxas, but he is a time traveler. Or rather, he goes back in time to save his friends' lives. Jungkook commits suicide, Yoongi and Jimin are dead ( i think), Taehyung is taken into custody for killing his abusive dad, Hoseok is distinctly missing, Namjoon is working a job that tests his patience and Jin has just returned from abroad. That's all of them, right?

Now, Jin chooses to go back in time to save Namjoon from getting arrested for getting into a fight. On that same day, Jungkook is supposed to commit suicide, so he goes looking for him. I haven't found out if he saved him, and if Taehyung is stopped from killing his dad. I'm one of the ring leaders of the 'Broque Brigade' so we wait till things are free to read them (heheheh. the only thing we allow ourselves to lose are the internet bundles, but if we find free wifi we are going to enjoy it to the best of our abilities).

Back to the 'Wings' films, Jungkook is crying over losing Yoongi. Jimin is living in a lie while coping with depression  and attempting to commit suicide. Taehyung is guilty and trapped in a cage, Hoseok is in a psych ward and taking pills which take him to a crazy high. Yoongi is watching fire consume his piano, while Namjoon barely makes it out of the mirror world to answer a mysterious phone call. Jin seats in a room that gives me the creeps when the candles go out, because a shadow falls. There's the scene of him looking sad, as if he is leaving.

Of course they are all connected. In the 'Jin Is Abraxas' theory, he is watching over everything the boys. That is why the photos he leaves behind are. The petals he burns are six (yes, they counted the petals... seriously... my mind is blown). Jungkook is crying over Yoongi's death... but is he dead...? If he is the one whistling, and Yoongi hears it, then it means that either they were both dead, or trapped in alternate realities, or dreaming... that is still something i have to think about again... Of course the overall story is that all of them are in the darkest realities of their lives. Watching Jungkook look at the painting (that we all thought was Taehyung, but is apparently a combination of Jungkook and Yoongi's faces (i know, mind blown) made me want to cry too. We even watch snippets of how he died (supposedly by a car accident and when he wakes up he is in limbo). We see this same snippet when Yoongi is following the whistling down a lonely road. He almost gets run over but then we see blood on the road. He makes it back to the convenience store that has his piano only to find that the car he narrowly avoided rammed into the store and everything catches fire. Then he hears the whistle and starts to follow it again. He probably thought that the person whistling had died in the accident, but hearing the whistling obviously gives him courage and hope to keep looking. Seems like Jungkook and Yoongi find each other. Can we talk about the wings Jungkook sprouted at the end of his film...? Did he use those wings of freedom to signal and whistle repeatedly to Yoongi? Why was Yoongi playing the same notes of the whistling before he left the convenience store?

Jimin is trying to hang in there because Hoseok is no longer next to him. Apparently, Jimin has attempted to commit suicide and has failed, but it seems like Hoseok was somewhat successful. Yet, somehow, we see Hoseok in a sterile room alone (making me wonder if Jimin got better while taking his pills), and he takes a pill that makes things look somewhat psychedelic around him. When he comes down from his high, he sees the message Jimin left him and he leaves his room. We are not clear about where he goes to though.  Jimin wears a smile, but it is obvious he is still in pain (i know that smile. I understand that smile). He misses Hoseok, so he points the video camera in the direction of his 'paradise' because, yes, he too died. Get this, Jimin died by drowning, but he wakes up once he accepts that he lost Hoseok and that he has depression (i really can't explain it as well as the owner of that video did... aiii, i need to remember the name of that channel).

Well, next is Namjoon and Taehyung (coincidentally both Kims) and when Taehying gets arrested for graffiti and probably killing his father, he is questioned and requests a last phone call (apparently) which Namjoon misses. We watch Taehying get punched by invisible forces. Theory has it that those are his own mistakes and he is becoming regretful. He is approached by a dog (which is his happiness, perhaps the freedom of his sister from the clutches of his father's abusive manners), but a cage traps him (his own mental prison where he is tormented by his thoughts ) and he has to let the dog go. I am not sure if he dies though... the theory states they all died and came back to life after realizing the mistakes they made... Watching Namjoon smack the phone booth while looking dejected (it has been chained and locked) after getting out of the mirror world is heartbreaking.

Jin made me feel weirded out when he stared right at me. He holds all the photos at the end, leaving his polaroid camera behind in the darkened room. He watches a dove in motion outside his window (probably representing Jungkook or finally finding peace, or all the boys finally finding peace), then he leaves the room after setting the petals on fire and placing the photos on the carpet. They are six, as i said earlier. A mirror, an apple, a mother cuddling a kid, a bird, piano keys and a door with scratches on it. Yes... a door with scratches on it... that must have been someone's personal version of hell if they were trying to escape. The door has 'Eva' on it.

Now, i just want to point out a few additional details i didn't mention before: After Jungkook cries at the burning of the potrait of him and Yoongi, which cried (probably his tears of regret), he picks up a drawing of some sort of a bird, which he places in an envelope right before he sprouts wings. Namjoon gets the envelope and looks at the picture then tattoos himself. It comes out as an image of the bird Jungkook sent him. the bird is in flight. Namjoon then burns the message.

Then there's the image of the woman and her kid that appear on Taehyung's eye. This same image is of the portrait that shifts from the forest (yes, the almost similar forest that GOT7 used in 'Miracle' which is an indication that the little girl has passed on and gone to heaven as GOT7 are her guardian angels. Anyway, I have seen that forest too in one of my dreams when i was much younger. I was really sick and pretty much out of it, and when i saw it in the 'Miracle' video, i knew i had been in it. I never made it across the river to the other side though. Random facts. Sorry). This forest is a sign that they were dead. The fact that they are looking at it from above and aren't in it (at least for me, this is my mini-theory) is a sign that they died but got a second chance after getting out of limbo. Or maybe they got to experience Nirvana (rebirth...?) and the forest is a sign of that too...? Anyway, long story short, the next image is of the mother and the baby and also, one of the first things we are shown when we see Jimin is the card scribbled 'Eva' more than once.

Another thing I didn't mention initially is the arrangement of flowers around Jin's body on the bed (but did i see that in the short film...) exactly like how they do in Thor when they are sending their deceased off in the boats, which they set on fire. Also, the burning petals, might be a reinforcement of how fire is supposed to purify souls... right? Ugh, i'm just being random here...

Anyway, the channel VHopeIsMyHope gave these theories. The other channel went on to draw examples on how Jin was Abraxas through out the 9 MVs of the album where Jin was conveniently being distant and always with a camera, yet somehow he is close and watches over all the boys. Jin is the first to die, apparently, and the theory is that his car went over the bridge. That is why in the MVs, the boys are always walking on the bridges. Anyway, after limbo, the boys made it back, but they go back to being  reckless especially Yoongi and Taehyung. In 'Blood, Sweat and Tears' the ultimate battle between good and evil is shown. Taehyung is the devil, while Jin is Abraxas. he tries to save the boys, by making a deal with the devil and ends up giving into the dark side. Before that, it is theorized that people on the dark side are Yoongi and his reckless drinking, Taehyung and his already dark presence because he turned rogue after killing his dad, and Namjoon who sips on Taehyung's essence (apparently... ARMY think really hard. waaa). Jungkook has his feet in both camps.

Jin's supporters are Jimin and Hoseok. Hoseok ends up dying again (please, stop killing him. really...) because he keeps fighting with weapons in his hands (aiii) and Jimin who was reluctant to see the truth about everything is ready to embrace and probably ward himself off the bad influence as much as he could. I think Jungkook's dabbling was the tipping point that made Jin kiss the statue (sign a contract with the devil) and then his face cracks... (i am tired now) and this is probably a sign that he is getting dragged over to the dark side.

Now, i know this is the longest post you have seen from me. I apologize. I was just really excited. Why have i gone into detail about this? Well, it is simply because i was in shock.

See, i watched the MV for 'Blood, Sweat and Tears' in 2016, and for some reason, i  reacted strangely. I distanced myself. It was too arty, I told myself. It was a bit distracting to watch the seven handsome lads who looked alike to me then, i told myself. Heck, i knew it had a lot of meaning, especially after seeing the whole kissing the statue thing. i was so puzzled, my thought process temporarily shut down. The best way for me to deal with this was through avoiding the video.

So for the next two years, i focused on other things and lived my life that way- mulling over the next 1D comeback from hiatus, and slowing down on spamming Sautisol on twitter. I even started dating and it was pretty serious. Even then, i should have known i was bound to run into BTS' MVs again, and i did.

Even then... I am exhausted from the theories and crying i did watching the video about Jin being Abraxas. I really need to read the book behind the inspiration for the short films. Only then will i perhaps stop having too many questions.

Being a fan requires you to have an IQ higher than mine apparently. The theories they come up with... Aiii. They are almost on the same level with the Animation fans of Disney who believe that Jane from 'George of The Jungle' is Belle's descendant, and that George is the sibling of Ella and Anna...

They are almost as good as them and Potterheads, if not on the same level. Heck, these fans might also be ARMY?

I'm going back to study. Good morning. I can't think any more.

Sincerely,
Me.
