CYCLES.
Cycles.
cycles...
A whole lot of things have cycles, but on this blog, the most important is menstrual cycles. One taboo topic every person, even I sometimes are afraid to address. I remember when I was in high school, my Biology teacher decided to ditch us when we came across the female reproductive system. He was like, "i am not an expert at that. AT all!!!" then he hastily left the class and didn't appear until the next class to happily steer us through the male reproductive system.
This was disturbing, and is the reason why it took me years to UNDERSTAND that high progesterone levels reduces your chances of getting your periods, and that oestrogen does the exact opposite.
Thank you so much for absolutely ruining my Biology classes Mr. He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named!

When a girl does not get her periods and she is above 18, she should start looking for a good gynaecologist to figure out where the problem is.
When a girl or woman has very painful cramps, it is probably because her hormones are off the chart because it comes naturally, or she has a growth in or around her uterus. Yes, i mean fibroids.
When a girl or woman finds herself having these problems, she should see a doctor. Immediately. This also applies for anyone who has really bad breakouts (pimples) during her cycles. Pimples are a sign of something deeper happening under the surface.

Cravings have always been an indicator that there's something you are not getting from your diet. It is not unhealthy to have them, but it is key to ensure that you get to the bottom of it. If you find yourself craving milk or green bananas, then you need phosphorus (P) and if it is omena, then it is your body's way of telling you "gimme calcium!"
Some of my most common cravings have been beans, nuts, omena, managu, eggs, milk, pineapples, oranges and green bananas. It almost drives me insane...! Especially omena because sometimes you only find the dark one! Once, I ran around town looking for mokimo... MOKIMO! Just yesterday, it was beans!!! I know... it sounds so funny until you are walking in my mighty craving shoes.
Sometimes I ask myself how much worse it'll be when i get pregnant. Just saying. HIHIHI!!!

Crazy cycles are, to me, too short or too long.
There are people whose cycles are as short as 21 days, or even shorter. Others cycles stretch to 35 days! Luckily, for those who fall in between 26 and 32 days, your cycle is much easier to track. Especially those who have a 28 or 30 day cycle that is frigging constant.
Those girls frigging drive me insane because they throw it in your face: "my cycle is 28 days so on this same exact day next month, i will be bleeding again."
You are so frigging lucky because you don't need an app to track your cycle. Some of us do, and it should have notifications like alarms so that when i wake up in the morning, i know if i should go out with extra clothes just in case the floodgates in my womb open up... and embarrass me.
Which reminds me... what app does your sister, mum, girlfriend or wife or... you use? Matters reproductive health are very important! VERY!
Next time, I'll be a little humorous. BYE!!!
